Fall Layers

img_4791.jpg

What I love about layering is that I can keep wearing my favorite clothes from spring and summer during fall and it also helps me save money. I know it can be challenging at times but, fall layers has something to it that makes you love it while giving you a casual and chic look.

Another benefit of layering is, you can wear again and again in different ways those clothes that you bought and thought you won't be able to wear anytime soon because people already saw you on social media with it.

Let's face it, I sometimes, am guilty of buying a statement piece and then saying I can wear it again because I already have pictures with it. This mentality makes you spend more money, but don't worry (breath) that's where knowing how to layer comes in and saves you.

The trick of layering is not to use very thick pieces. You can wear a blouse, t-shirt or a thin turtle neck underneath a crop top or a dress. If you want to keep adding, also wear an oversized jacket or blazer. While it will help you stay warm, it is also helping you to reuse your clothes while being stylish.

Also, use your significant other jackets, sweaters or shirt. Those are great items for layering. And as you will see on my pictures the denim jacket I used belongs to my husband.

Here are two different looks, casual and dress up, so it can give you different ideas of how to play with your clothes 😉

A Parisian Touch

The cool and nice weather is here! This means it is time for us to take our stockings out and give our outfits an update with the Parisian Touch. I thought the best way to do this was using the color that represents New York the best: Black. In Paris they use every color you can imagine, but I wanted this to be a warm introduction and show you how easy it is to style your summer clothes with stockings and keep wearing them in the fall. (Ps: Paris fashion week was all bout the colorful stockings 😉).

Here you will see 4 different looks that anyone can wear, because I tried covering different styles to cater everyone. There is an uptown girl look, very chick that can be use to go to work, for a meeting, that can also represent you being your own boss and the stocking that I used was the back seam stockings.

My second look, for a more comfy downtown girl, with a casual but still chick and noticeable look, I used the sheer dot tights and it can be worn anywhere. The third look, which I am in love with, is all about using the same metallic midi skirt with any top or sweater in this case, with your open toes high heels but with stockings. It is, most definitely, a fall and very trendy look.

The last look is a bit more daring ,very parisian with the fishnet. This type of stockings you can wear under distress jeans or shorts with your open toes high heels. I added a black top and my bomber jacket for a more up to date look.

I have a discount code for my followers so you can also add all these different types of stockings to your wardrobe. Go to Berkshire Legwear and use blogger15 for a 15% discount until October 31st.

As always I will let you know where I got all the clothes and don't forget to follow 😉

Them Velvet Boots

image16.jpeg

Hello my beauties, As a continuation of my last post I wanted to keep talking about the velvet boots. Specially because it could be a little intimidating to wear them.

Last time I got so many compliments for them and also was asked what else can I wear them with  And honestly. you can wear velvet boots or shoes with anything.

I decided to wear my velvet boots with my socks higher, put on my leather skirt and for the top I chose a denim shirt. I was trying to go for a monochromatic look but change my mind by adding another color bag.

As usual, below I wil tell you where  I got my outfit from and I hope you decide to try it yourself. Inknow it might feel easier to go for a black pair of velvet boots, and even for grays but I dare you to have fun with it and go for the burgundy (a color that is very in this season) or like me wih the blue.
