NYFW in times of Corona Virus

Viancey Peraza - NYFW

Hello Chicas,

and happy Friday! This season for NYFW was so different from all the others. Usually during the past seasons, 2 weeks prior to the shows, I would send around 20 emails or more requesting assistance to shows, presentations, events, etc. This time around, one week before the shows we found out NYFW was indeed going to happen.

Most of the shows were to be virtual and only 6 were going to be live. Even when I found out about this, I didn’t reach out to any brand due to the virus and also because my daughter, Aria, was going to start virtual 2nd grade (which is a lot to handle during the first week). But you could imagine my happiness when i received Rebeca Minkoff’s Presentation invitation on the day of my birthday.

Luckily for me, school was postponed for a later start day, and Rebecca Minkoff’s invitation explained that it was going to be done in groups and on the rooftop of Spring Studios, in order to stay under regulations for Covid-19. On the day of the presentation, I got an email with a form that I had to fill out making sure I haven’t been in contact with anybody being sick, they took my temperature, I had to wear a mask at all times and we also had to maintain distance between us, even in the elevators.

When it came to my outfit, I chose my Rebecca Minkoff’s leopard print mules to be the inspiration of my outfit. Falls is known for its neutral palette and they were perfect for it. I paired it with my Rebecca Minkoff bag, my faux leather pants, a camisole and this animal print shaket (which is very in style at the moment).

Hopefully next season it will be a full event like the previous ones, and if you would want to read more on that, go and check my previous posts on NYFW: NYFW and My Experience and How I tried to make my NYFW Experience More Sustainable . As usual, below are the details on my look.

XO.
